great photo...really like the contrast and the eye

nice shot, I like the contrast on the eye, but I think the buckle is competing too much for attention, it is too strong of a focal point and takes a lot of depth away from the eye. maybe reduce the contrast some on the metiallic parts.

I agree with Blacklaser about the buckel. The face could be a notch darker, which would make the eye pop with the increased contrast. When I say darker it's ment to be a light grey or a feint grey not a dark grey or mid grey even. Nice idea with crop.

Nice crop but I agree about the buckle. You should darken it a little bit IMO.

dunno if its because of the excessive contrast(i'm a big fan of contrast but with a certain ammount only) or because of overexposure but there's too much negative space here...
would love to see this in a b/w, more refined/unexposed version

Nice work! I think maybe the eye should be more evident. It's looks a bit weak when it's supposed to be "pure blue". You know the first thing that jump on my eyes is the buckle that with his shinyness capture the look at first. I would work a little more on composition! +8

i get a vogueish, nostalgic fashion feel from this, good crop.

A good high contrast image. I could see this in a landscape format cropped just below the buckle.

Great shot love the contrast, just got back from holiday, too tired to really comment, but will try to come back and make more comment on this.

Ok the the contrast is beautifull, show's great detail and the bleu eye really cathces the attention. Only thing is it seems to be fighting for attention with the buckle on the hat. but still that doesn't take anything away from it being a very interesting shot.

aside from whats already been mentioned about the buckle, I think this is really great. Love the lighting/contrast/composition and the lapis lazuli-like coloured eye.
